Established in 1965 by Caddo Parish, North Caddo Medical Center offers a rare
combination of advanced healthcare capabilities and exceptional care to all the families it
serves. North Caddo Medical Center is proud to be a community owned facility.
Operating as a critical access hospital with 15 acute care beds and 10 additional long
term care beds, the hospital serves the villages and towns in their district: Vivian, Oil City,
Mooringsport, Belcher, Dixie, Gilliam, Hosston, Ida, Mira, and Rodessa. Surgery,
cardiac care, diagnostic radiology, labor and delivery, pediatrics and emergency medicine
are among the many services that are offered at North Caddo Medical Center. Two
fully- equipped ambulances that provide 24- hour emergency transport are also available
to the members of the hospital service district. North Caddo Medical Center health
system also includes the North Caddo Medical & Surgical Clinic, the Plain Dealing
Medical Clinic, the North Caddo HealthPlex, and the North Caddo Fitness Center. The
staff includes five full-time physicians, two nurse practitioners, and a physician's assistant.
